Health and Well-Being: Dangerous Dog Materials

We all may be aware of some of the common materials we find inside of our houses that are hazardous for our loving dogs- however, there is more danger lurking around our kitchen than we even know about.

With fruit season upon us be careful about discarding those pits- they can cause some major problems for your dog!  Check out our recommended list of foods and materials for your dog to avoid below:

Alcoholic beverages
Apple Seeds
Apricot Pits
Cherry Pits
Candy (chocolate and any candy containing the sweetener Xylitol)
Coffee (grounds, beans, chocolate covered espresso beans)
Grapes
Hops (used in home beer brewing)
Macadamia Nuts
Moldy Foods
Mushroom Plants
Mustard Seeds
Onions and Onion Powder
Peach Pits
Potato Leaves and Stems (green parts)
Raisins
Rhubarb Leaves
Salt
Tomato Leaves and Stems (green parts)
Walnuts
Yeast Dough
